Publishing principles
How we write, what we say, and what we won't say. These principles apply to every page on this site, every published insight, every success story.
What we publish
Bo Gartner publishes insights and success stories aimed at South African and SADC finance leaders considering or operating Sage Intacct. Everything we publish is intended to be useful before it is promotional. If a piece reads like a brochure, it does not ship.
How we source
- Insights are written by Bo Gartner consultants drawing on direct engagement experience plus current Sage Intacct documentation. Where third-party facts or figures appear, the source is linked. Where regulations are cited (SARS, IFRS, FICA, POPIA, B-BBEE), we link to the regulator or the standard.
- Success stories fall into two categories. First-party Bo Gartner engagements are published only with explicit client consent. Where a story is paraphrased from a publicly available Sage Intacct success story (sage.com), it is explicitly marked as such with a link to the original.
How we attribute
Every paraphrased or rewritten story carries a visible attribution block linking to the original source. We do not present second-hand stories as first-party engagements. Sage Intacct is a registered trademark of The Sage Group plc; we use the name and brand in line with Sage's partner programme guidelines.
How we factcheck
Every insight is reviewed against current Sage Intacct documentation and current South African regulations before publication. Where Sage releases a meaningful product change that supersedes our writing, we update the original article and note the change.
What we will not publish
- Client names, contract values, or commercially sensitive material without explicit client consent in writing.
- Personal information about individuals at client organisations beyond what is already publicly disclosed.
- Comparative claims about competing Sage partners that we cannot substantiate.
- Predictions about Sage Intacct's product roadmap that have not been disclosed by Sage publicly.
Corrections
If you spot something wrong on this site — a factual error, an out-of-date Sage feature reference, a broken regulatory link — email info@bogartner.com and we will correct it. Material corrections are noted at the foot of the affected article.
Voice and language
We write in British English. We avoid the word "AI" loosely; where we mean machine learning or automation features in Sage Intacct, we say so specifically. We try to write the way we would brief a CFO over coffee: direct, honest, and useful.
